Capturing Personality in Oil Paint
Kendall Bowen (she/they) is a Seattle based artist working in oil portraiture, capturing moments of authenticity and expressions of personality.
As a queer artist, Bowen examines the intentional formation of found family and how these chosen relationships shape one's understanding of self. In response to a world that continues to suppress queer visibility and joy, their work centers on amplifying real moments of expression within their community.
Bowen has exhibited work at Picket Fence Art Studio, where she has studied oil painting since 2024. Through carefully observed portraiture, Bowen invites viewers to reflect on their own networks of support, inspiration, and care, and to consider how they might actively contribute to cultivating and sustaining community.
